Cherry Glazed Ham

Yield

YIELD: 16 servings

Ingredients:

•1 (10-lb.) fully cooked ham
•1 (12 oz.) jar Smucker's® Cherry Preserves
•1/4 cup red wine vinegar
•2 tablespoons light corn syrup
•1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
•1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
•1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
•1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted*
•3 tablespoons water

Directions:

1HEAT oven to 325°F. Place ham on a rack in shallow baking pan. Bake according to package directions or 1 1/2 hours, uncovered, until thermometer registers 140°F.
2COMBINE cherry preserves, vinegar, corn syrup. cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in medium saucepan. Cook and stir until boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer 2 minutes. Stir in almonds. Reserve 3/4 cup for serving with ham.
3SPOON remaining glaze over ham about 15 minutes before the ham is done. Baste occasionally. Place ham on serving platter. Stir water into reserved glaze. Heat until warm. Serve with the ham.
TIP*To toast nuts: Place almonds in dry nonstick skillet; cook over medium heat, shaking pan until nuts are lightly browned.
