Double Berry Fruit Sauce

Ingredients:

•	1 (12 fl. oz.) bottle Smucker's® Strawberry Syrup
•	1 tablespoon cornstarch
•	1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
•	1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
•	1 tablespoon butter
•	2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
OR	2 cups frozen strawberries, partially thawed

Directions:

	FRESH FRUIT
1	COMBINE syrup and cornstarch in small saucepan with wire whisk. Heat on medium high until mixture begins to boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
2	STIR in lemon peel, lemon juice and butter. Cool to room temperature. Transfer to serving bowl.
3	FOLD prepared fruit gently into sauce. Serve immediately over pound cake, angel food cake or ice cream.
	FROZEN FRUIT
1	FOLLOW steps 1 and 2 above.
2	COOL sauce for 10 minutes. Stir in partially thawed fruit. Let set until fruit is thawed, stirring occasionally.
3	SERVE as suggested above.
TIP	Use any other variety of Smucker's® fruit flavored syrup such as Blueberry, Red Raspberry, Blackberry or Boysenberry.
