SMUCKER’S® SEARCHES FOR HEARTWARMING HOLIDAY MEMORIES
ORRVILLE, OH (November 3, 2004) –Many activities occur in the kitchen during the holiday season, but none other brings friends and family together quite like making cookies. To celebrate this timeless tradition, the makers of Smucker’s®, the nation’s number one brand of jams, jellies and preserves, is searching for America’s most heartwarming memories about holiday cookies.
"Whether striving to perfect grandma's butter cookies each year or exchanging cookies with friends, holiday cookies are made even sweeter by the memories we associate with them,” said Maribeth Badertscher, communications manager, The J.M. Smucker Company. “We want to hear about those stories and inspire home bakers everywhere to create their own family memories and traditions this holiday season."
To celebrate the vast array of holiday cookies and the memories they evoke, the makers of Smucker’s invite home bakers everywhere to submit an essay, 75-words or less, that describes their favorite holiday cookie making memory. Whether it’s about time spent in grandma’s kitchen each year or baking cookies with friends for the first time, Smucker's wants to hear your story. All participants will receive a free Classic Cookie Recipe brochure from Smucker’s, filled with delicious holiday treats that are sure to create new family baking memories (while supplies last, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery).
The Classic Cookie Recipe brochure offer begins November 3, 2004 and ends on December 10, 2004.
