Apple Sausage Patties
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 2 green onions finely chopped
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 level tbsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp dried sage -- crumbled fine
- 1 tsp white pepper
- Add pinch of nutmeg, optional
- 1/2 cup Smucker's® Apple Jelly or Smucker's® Apple Butter
- Crisco® Olive Oil No-Stick Spray
Directions:
In a large bowl, quickly but thoroughly, mix all ingredients except spray to combine. Using
your hands divide the mixture into approximately 16 1 1/2 x 2" balls and flatten each ball into
a 1/3-inch-thick patty.
Heat a medium-large frying pan over moderate heat,
and spray with cooking spray.
Gently fry the patties in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side. They will turn golden brown
and should no longer be pink in the center.
Take out of pan and drain access fat on paper towels.
Transfer the patties to a serving plate. Serve hot.
