Chewy Cherry Oat Bars

- No-Stick Cooking Spray or parchment paper
- 1/2 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2/3 cup Smucker's® Cherry Preserves
- Step 1
HEAT oven to 350°F. Coat 8-inch square baking pan with no-stick cooking spray or line with parchment.
- Step 2
BEAT butter and brown sugar in medium bowl with mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy. Blend in vanilla extract.
- Step 3
MIX flour, oats and baking powder in medium bowl until blended. Gradually add it to butter-brown sugar mixture until well combined and a crumb mixture begins to form. Set aside 1/2 cup for crumb topping.
- Step 4
PRESS remaining crumb mixture firmly into bottom of prepared pan to form a crust. Spoon preserves over crust, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into bars.
