  • No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/2 cup All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Smucker's® Low Sugar Reduced Sugar Sweet Orange Marmalade
  • 1/4 cup flaked coconut


  • Step 1

    HEAT oven to 450°F. Spray a baking pan lightly with no-stick cooking spray. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in medium bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or a fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; add milk all at once. Stir with a fork until dough clings together.

  • Step 2

    TURN the dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead 10 to 12 strokes. Roll dough to a 15 x 8-inch rectangle. Spread orange marmalade over the dough. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup coconut. Fold dough in half to make a 15 x 4-inch rectangle. Cut in 1-inch strips. Holding each strip at both ends, twist twice. Place on prepared baking sheet.

    BAKE 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Serve warm with additional marmalade, if desired.
