Strawberry Cheesecake Pretzel Dessert

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups boiling water
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 1 1/3 cups ice cold water
  • 1/2 cup Smucker's® Natural Strawberry Fruit Spread
  • OR 1/2 cup Smucker's® Seedless Strawberry Jam
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) container Frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries


  • Step 1

    HEAT oven to 350°F. Microwave butter in medium microwave-safe bowl on HIGH 1 minute or just until melted. Stir in pretzels and sugar until evenly moistened. Press into 13 x 9-inch baking dish to form a crust. Bake 8 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.

  • Step 2

    POUR boiling water over gelatin in medium bowl. Stir 2 minutes or until dissolved. Stir in fruit spread until melted. Stir in cold water. Chill 30 minutes or until partially thickened.

  • Step 3

    Meanwhile, BEAT cream cheese and powdered sugar in medium bowl with mixer on high speed until smooth. Blend in whipped topping. Spread over crust. Chill.

  • Step 4

    STIR strawberries into gelatin mixture. Pour over chilled cream cheese layer. Chill until firm.
