Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Honey-Bacon Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
  • 6 slices uncooked bacon, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup Smucker’s® Beekeeper’s Promise™ Honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard

Directions

  1. HEAT oven to 450°F. Place Brussels sprouts in large bowl. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Toss to coat. Spread evenly on 17 x 12 x 1-inch baking pan, arranging cut-side down.
  2. ROAST 15 to 20 minutes or until fork-tender and golden brown.
  3. Meanwhile, COOK bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon; set aside. Stir onion into pan drippings. Cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. STIR in honey, vinegar, mustard, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  5. ADD cooked Brussels sprouts to skillet, stirring to coat evenly with glaze. Sprinkle with reserved bacon before serving.
