  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 pound red onion, coarsely chopped (3 cups)
  • 1/2 cup Smucker's® Concord Grape Jelly (or your favorite Smucker's® grape spread)
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper


  • Step 1

    MELT butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook 5 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 2

    STIR in jelly, vinegar, salt and pepper.

  • Step 3

    REDUCE heat to medium-low. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until most of the liquid is evaporated, stirring occasionally. Cool to room temperature. Use as a condiment on burgers and sandwiches. Store covered in refrigerator, but be sure to share.
