Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Smucker's® Natural Tart Cherry Fruit Spread
  • 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/4 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Step 1

    HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook over medium-low heat 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  • Step 2

    STIR water and cornstarch in small cup until cornstarch is dissolved.

  • Step 3

    ADD fruit spread, vinegar, thyme, salt and pepper to skillet. Stir in cornstarch mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until desired consistency. Serve over grilled chicken, ham or pork or brush over roasted meat during last 10 minutes of cooking time.
